During his 40 -year association with Special Olympics, Armani created attires for professional athletes participating in World Gamings and featured professional athletes on holiday cards. In 2004, he partnered with renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz to compile a photobook called Faces of Sporting activity, benefiting Unique Olympics. The book portrayed professional athletes at the top of their video games. Special Olympics professional athletes were featured alongside super stars such as Serena Williams, Pete Sampras and Ronaldo.
